The job market in web development and IT is constantly changing as demand for qualified specialists grows day by day. Our further education course provides specialists who acquired their occupational skills outside of Germany, with a solid introduction to the typical challenges of the German IT sector. Our students are prepared in basic theory and also receive practical training in various aspects of the IT profession. This ranges from the fundamentals of professional communication, through the basics of web development, including the numerous technical terms, to object oriented programming.
Beyond its comprehensive professional content, this further education will help you acquire essential occupational language skills in German. Your comprehension of the spoken word and written texts will be improved and optimized through occupationally relevant, practical exercise.



Admission Requirements

This course is designed for participants with experience in the fields of IT and web development, such as programmers, system administrators, web developers, data bank developers, information specialists and
people from related occupations.

Course Content

  • Communication and occupational knowledge
    Communication techniques, MS-Word, technical terms, business correspondence and e-messaging

  • Technical calculation
    Spreadsheet calculation, formulas, functions, mathematical operations, European Computer Drivers License (ECDL)

  • Basic Web Development I
    Internet protocols, browsers, HTML5, CSS3, Dreamweaver, Responsive Web Design

  • Basic Web Development II
    JavaScript, variables, data types, operators, functions, objects, cookies, audio, video

  • Basic Databank
    ER model, normalization, data bank architecture, SQL, data types

  • Object oriented programming I
    Language constructs, blocks, methods, construction, classes and objects

  • Object oriented programming II
    Concepts, design patterns, client/server-programming, multi-thread programming

  • Project: IT and Web
    Development of an IT project including a specification sheet, documentation and presentation

Our further education course contians 1280 hours.

cimdata has been providing a palette of further education services in Berlin and Brandenburg since 1983. With employment opportunities and the vocational needs of our students in mind, we offer a variety of courses and seminars focused on job preparation, retraining and specialized career qualifications.
Our further education courses are conducted entirely in a traditional, face-to-face classroom setting. You will be taught theory and practice by our experienced instructors in full day sessions. As a rule, 16 to 18 students are enrolled in each module. Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. It is possible for begin a course module every four weeks. Seminars last eight months. Teaching materials are included in the price of the module.

Our career service provides intensive, up-todate communication and job application training parallel to the course. Working together, we will develop a personal employment strategy with you. We support your employment effort until you begin work. There is no charge for this service.

Students who meet the individual entrance requirements are eligible for German SGB II
and SGB III financial assistance. In an individual counseling session, we will inform you about the study program that is individually tailored exactly to your educational needs.
